Questions & Answers

w/ Gemma Guthrie

Q: Do you like to play chess?

A: Yes, yes, I do! It is so fun, even if I don't win. I always say, the more challenging, the better! ;)

Q: Do you like art?

A: I. LUV ART!!! Yes, yes, I am sort of an art freak.... you'll just have to deal with it ;) This is part of my passion in life. I

want to make paintings that give people a smile.☺

Q: Crazy or calm?

A: Okay, well I think I am a bit of both. This may surprise you, but I am actually a bit well..... on the shy side. It may not

seem like it on here but, at first, I am a bit of a shy-pie.  When you get to know me though, I think you'll want to be

done with me :P No, I am just joking a round but still, I might get a bit crazy.... just watch out peeps ;) hehe.

Q: Do you like baking/cooking?

A: I LUV BAKING & COOKING! This is the other half of my passion. I want to make delicious cakes, cupcakes, & all that

stuff but in a..... wait for it..... wait for it.... a healthy way! You may be thinking,

"Whaaaatt do dah huh!?"

No, you heard me right, a healthy way. Okay so there is no way you can make a dessert totally "healthy approved" &

still "kid approved", but I can at least make them healthier, right, right? Right. Kids will still enjoy them too (always a

bonus;).

I will use only natural colors & flavors such as: organic strawberries, orangic blueberries, organic spinach (gross? I.

Think. Not!), tumeric (what!?), real chocolate, & I might experiment with (don't worry, it won't be stuff like bug juice or

uh, just anything gross.... like that's super gross xP) with some other things as well.... we'll see what happens :)

The main thing though is that we will get all of these artificial flavors & colors out of our desserts to make them a bit

healthier. Possibly you (especially kids) think spinach is gross? When you find out what's in nasty food coloring &

artifical flavors, you will never be the same!

I will also lead towards the "gluten-free/dairy-free" route for my baked goods. Seems these days, people want to

enjoy a dark chocolate fudge brownie but can't due to gluten & dairy products that lurk through that delicious piece

of temptation.

This sounds like a good start to me... what do you think? :)

Q: Can you sing? If so, what do you do to grow your talent?

A: I love singing! I started out in the Childrens' Choir at my church when I was in 2nd grade. I now am an active

member in my Youth choir and as a youth cantor. As of September 2017, I have now been in choir all together for

about 9 years.

Q: Have you done sports? If so, which ones?

A: I have done dance (yes, it IS a sport) a lot during my life. Did ballet at age 4, Irish at 8 going through 9, Scottish

age 10-11, then Irish again at 12. I hope I can start dancing again soon! Other than that, I am really into basketball. I

*tried* basketball in January 2015 but well.... let's just say that didn't go so well :/ I want to try it again though....

always can try a 2nd time!

Q: What does your name mean?

A: My name, Gemma, means "gemstone", "precious gem", or "jewel". It is pronounced with a "J", so like "Jem-ma"☺

Q: What does "Gemtastic Joy!" mean?

A: Well, I guess I wanted to have something that had to do with "sparkle" or "gems", since that means my name in

some ways. Plus, I wanted to have "joy" in the title, since that is a big part of how I do my work. So I just thought,

why not take out the "fan" from "fantastic" & replace it with "gem"? So, there I guess is how it all started. :)

Q: How old are you & when's your birthday?

A: I am 15-years-old & my bday is September 14th!

Q: How tall are you?

A: I am approx. 5'7!

Q: What are all your hobbies?

A: Like I mentioned before, I love to draw, paint, cook, bake, sing, dance, and make videos. I also, however, love to

write and I hope to write a book someday.

There you go, some interesting (well maybe) facts about me. Hope you don't think

I am too crazy.. ;) lol.

----------------------------------------------------------

What is My Mission Here on "Gemtastic Joy!"?

Before I go, here is some quick info about my website....

Here, I will share with you all of my hard-worked-on, homemade art & products (even baked goods for you locals out

there☺). Feel free to email me if you have a custom painting request... I will answer as fast as I can & try my best to

make it has perfect as possible :)

PLEASE NOTE: Prices WILL be negotiable, however, I do wish my large paintings to be sold for no less than $10.

Is This My Main Purpose?

No. It's just a big old "no". Let me tell you the main purpose I am here.

So the first thing you probably think when you see me is something like,

"Oh look, there's a girl trying to sell her paintings, crafts, & products to make a little money & show what she got."

If so, you are....... wrong. Yes, yes, it's that blunt. You. Are. Wrong.

Now you may be thinking, yes again,

"Whaaaatt do dah huh!?" Yeah, like seriously.

No, I am not  here to have people glorify me for my work, let's just get that straight. I am here to glorify, through my

works, the One who made  my gifts possible, the creator of you & I. Yes guys, introducing..... drum roll please..... the One

& only  One, Jesus Christ! He made everyone's talents, gifts, joys, & even the hairs on your head happen. :)

Before I get a little deeper, let's just think about this word, "only ", for a minute:

He, Jesus, is the only  One in the world that has given us our beloved talents, gifts, joys, & well, ya know ;)

He is the only  One that can help us when in desperate need.

He is the only  One where you can find true  happiness & joy.

He is the only  One that could die on the cross & save us from our sins.

Jesus is the only  One, the only  way, the only  light.

He has given me the strength & courage to use my gifts & talents to make others happy & help them to see they are

not  nothing, they are indeed something. Everyone has a purpose & a reason. If we didn't have a purpose, why else

would we be here? Something to think about anyways... ☺

Wow, that was long.... when I said quick, I guess I meant long :P Hope you aren't asleep yet! I know I am sure

tired. Anyways, that's one whole page about me, my mission, & my master.  I hope it was interesting & not well,

say boring... ugh.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read til the end. Feel free to subscribe (free) to my YouTube

channel (GemzMyLens) and follow my other socials to see more of me :)

Always remember to keep sparkling no matter what and smile 'cause you are loved :)

Have a fabulous day/night/or whatever it is! God bless♥
